The Hamilton history collection consists of essays written about Hamilton by McMaster students for Professor John Weaver of the McMaster University History Department. It also consists of numbered file folders containing news clippings about Hamilton. There are a number of separate fonds and collections which are related to the history of Hamilton, Ontario. They include: Mabel Burkholder, Marjorie Freeman Campbell, Ralph Ellis, David A. Robinson, Highland Society of Hamilton, Hamilton watering cart specifications, Hamilton and District Labour Council and other labour holdings, Hamilton social and political organizations, Hamilton Club, Hamilton Chamber Music Society, police register, property documents, H.R.H. Prince Arthur Duke of Connaught presentation book, Real Estate Board, The Hamilton Spectator, Hamilton-Scourge Project and Hamilton Waterworks. Each of these fonds/collections has its own separate description.
